John 14:26 –But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Luke 24:45 – then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scripture.
Devotional: Devote is to be constant and faithful to devoting yourself to studying…
- Pray before you study, ask God to explain his Word to you and give you understanding and wisdom to do what you have understood of His Word.
- Confess all the sins that you can remember and ask for forgiveness on each one. It gives Him an opportunity to show you His love for you. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you know that your sins are forgiven when you confess. (1 John 1:9-10) There is so much strength and power on your knees when you KNOW God still loves you in spite of your sin.
- Pray Again and now ask the Lord to show you your sin. Hold on because it will not be easy or a pretty sight to see or accept. You may be on your knees for a while or you may have to stop until you are able to acknowledge what was shown. This begins the release of strongholds, the breaking of the soul/flesh. It will take courage to embark upon because it mirrors how Satan had you. But, don’t be alarmed God never reveals what our sin really looks like; he reveals enough to humble us. He loves us so much that even in this moment he shows mercy. The breaking of the soul/flesh inserts a powerful strength that’s needed for when you get off your knees to stand in victory.
