With Prayer Life having a life of its own – have you ever prayed and realized that you were just speaking words and not praying? Words that didn’t mean anything to you. Have you ever thought your prayer was not enough? Or if it were even heard. Or if you believed in what you were praying. If you have had these thoughts you must have sensed something; not so much missing, but you weren’t connected to your prayer. If you don’t explore or bother to look into what you are sensing, you will begin to pray less or not at all. We must take time in prayer and with prayer. There must be a connection between what you are praying and what you believe. I believe we all cross this path; but we must not stay here. We must pursue after peace an assurance within ourselves. Psalm 18:6 states: In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. That’s an assurance. And, your prayer doesn’t have to be in distress all the time. You just need to know that God hears you. If you are not clear in your words – how can you agree with God about your prayers?
Prayer is explorable just like scripture and it can become as powerful. When you approach prayer believing the experience is unexplainable but impactful and effective. So think about what you are praying and try not to rush.
The example of Believing Prayer of Intercession:
KJV – Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
Prayer is the most concrete substance in our lives. It’s a fact based on its purpose that is connected to the Word of God we believe; that draws emotions to inspire us to pray without ceasing.
Prayer is inpartnership with Faith: – Hebrews 4:2 KJV For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Prayer may feel like it’s emotional, but it’s actually factual and the truth of our lives. Emotional words formed to connect our heart to the fact that God hears and answers our prayers; this is what we believe with or without an emotion.
