For this is the will of God to the path to righteousness; a continual process…
Peter 2:20-21 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted (suffer) for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Living Translation
20 Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong; but if you do right and suffer for it, and are patient beneath the blows, God is well pleased.
21 This suffering is all part of the work God has given you. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps:
Wounded to Believe – Inflicted to Obey for this is the Will of God.
Trials and tribulations have their purpose; breaking down the old to build the new you; to also, in the process teach you to trust and believe God and change. I have learned through trials and tribulations that they are mandated and positioned in areas of our lives to change us. Living with pain, hurt, set backs, disappointments, humiliation and rejection is the cause to hope. No one wants to continue to live in despair; which brings us to broken to believe.
Without these things who would call on the Lord. Who would need Him? Who would profess their love to Him? Who would change?
We are a mess of a people. We have been given a beautiful life to live, but failed to view the value of it. We have been given a family to love and care for and be loved by. We have the freedom to progress as high as we can go. With all the freedom we have been given based on God’s creation; we are a mess. So God chooses His Plan of change and repentance by way of trials and tribulations; with insight into His purpose for us. That we might see what an abundant life His heart has prepared for us. Personally, if it had not been for those broken
and hurt moments in my life I would not be on this path of glory. I cried out to God and saw a path I had to take and take it courageously in Faith; Salvation. Believing He is with me…
We don’t live forever, wouldn’t it be a shame to die and never see the plans God has for you.
Prayer: Father, please capture this heart and hold it through their brokenness to believe. Assure them through your Word that you are with them and you will never leave nor forsake. Give them courage to hold their heads up and ask for prayer. And, when they hear your Word, or a song help them to grab the hope that they hear and lead them into faith that pleases you.
Breaking – there is no way out unless God heals you from worldly pain. Broken to believe and inflicted to obey. (?)
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
2Corithians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2 Corinthians 4:17 Amplified For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!
Although our trials and tribulations have the purpose of pressing us into God; Broken to believe. God states that He would never leave us or forsake us even in our trials and tribulations. And, He further goes on to say, “ in John 14:2-4, in my Father’s house are many mansions, I have prepared a place for you, I will come back for you, so you can be where I am and go where I go.
He knew He was destined to die; it was His Father’s plan for Him to take on all the sin, pain, hurt, humiliation and rejection from the world. He bared the sin for past generations and for the people we have read about in history and for those who have yet to be born. So, our path to Righteousness may sting a bit; but God who is merciful towards us the sting doesn’t last long. The sting is to transition us, change us and grow us into a loving relationship with Him.
2 Corinthians 12:9 – And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
