A Prayer Life and Taking Authority in prayer leads from a heart of faith and assurance. The demand is not on Christ to take authority. It is on us to take authority to crush the head of the enemy with power in Jesus Name. It’s the same amazing authority we took at Salvation as we bravely walked away from Satan with faith and gave our lives over to God. We must continue to daily take authority and embrace the freedom to pray, to ask, to believe, and to speak as the scripture states; having the proof of our faith by the evidence of receiving but not yet seen. You are responsible for your own prayer life so take authority.
2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
However, to have a prayer life one must be determined to pray consistently and always. It’s essential that a believer not just pray during their trials and tribulations. Some trials and tribulations may come with turbulent times (leaving us scrabbling all over the place). It’s not because of the turbulence but because we are disengaged in between our trials and tribulations. Praying without ceasing keeps us connected to God mentally, spiritually and physically; as to sensing the presence of the Lord.
Let’s not be fooled by mere subjective suggestions that saying a prayer here and there is a prayer life. Just as life is happening at all times, so should your prayer life. A prayer life grows out of consistency that strengthens faith, produces courage to obey, and to believe the scriptures. A prayer life has its own “field of dreams” and possibilities to inspire a life that believes in God. It catches hold of the Word of God that you believe and leads you to trust and hope in God.
It’s not a cliche’ that prayer changes things. The experience of prayer changing things is the evidence within. Some people identify prayers answered by material things as their proof. But, the evidence of an answered prayer and that prayer changes things is your faith.
Prayer really does change things. I am a living witness; look in the mirror and be reminded of your own sinner’s prayer. The words that you prayed and believed became active in you is what changed you; 1 Thessalonians 2:13. The same heart that prayed the sinner’s prayer is the same heart that can pray and pray with authority.
When you stay joined with God in prayer you’ll discover a journey that will reveal many paths. Paths that are led by God which are your field of dreams all-purpose just for you. A Reservoir full of positive life changing events waiting to be explored and experienced by you.
God provides help in our Christian Walk – John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Galatians 5:17 NLT The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
