You cannot accept Jesus Christ within your own mind/flesh.Only the power of God resting upon you shall cause you to mean your repentance. His resting power embeds the spirit of conviction; conviction is more powerful than the feeling of sorry. The feeling of sorry can be replaced with anything to remove it without any regret. But, a convicted heart’s conviction processes through the depth of your soul that lines up with guilt which connects with your salvation that states you are no-longer guilty. It’s where the two cannot exist together – that raises the spirit of conviction within you. As, you are more than likely not to do again. (the repentance hold)
Repentance means to feel regret from what you know is wrong and turn from it.
Billy Graham Quote “repentance means to change your mind about God, about yourself and about your needs. And, when you change your mind
Christ will transform it. We’ve all sinned, that’s why God sent Jesus Christ to die on the Cross”
What do you have to do? “ you have to be willing to repent”….
Note: Jesus Christ understands your converting from death to life to become a Believer. He knows that you need him to help you to believe in Him; you will never ever walk alone in this transition.
The breath of life is inherent within us; where did it come from? Science didn’t create it, technology didn’t create it and the environment definitely didn’t. The breath of life lives within the soul of our body, and no matter your place in life, saved or unsaved, that too is a gift from God.
You see, not accepting Jesus as your Personal Savior your life is susceptible to all that is impure in the world. Everything evil is attracted to an unsaved soul. Your mind is influenced, your body is attacked and your spirit is infected with demons that control you.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Repent:
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel
It’s an action spoken from your heart that you now understand you were born in sin and that you must repent/turn from sin and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. It’s you taking self-care for your soul #life!
John 3:4-5
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Baptism:
Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (cancellation) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit is always present at conversion and he’s also with you throughout your salvation; (John 14:26) conversion can’t happen without the Holy Spirit as all things are spiritual with Jesus Christ from Salvation to Death as the work of the Holy Spirit-Holy Ghost.
This is the Gift
Luke 3:16 – John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with Fire: which is the Holy Spirit (simultaneously work) (and delayed work)
Never underestimate the work Christ is doing in you and through you..
The Act of Water Baptism: is your public declaration of humility unto God and showing the world that you love Christ the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is also your act of obedience at the request of God.
Take up your Cross:
Luke 9:23 – And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Deny thyself: was your agreement at repentance and accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior. As, this doesn’t happen overnight but we get there. We learn how to put Christ first – Matthew 6:33
What’s is your Cross
It’s not following after your flesh; suffer the flesh….
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
What suffering the flesh means for you: it’s going to hurt you to do right, it’s going to hurt you to go against your norm, it’s going to hurt you to not strike back and not to respond; but suffer the flesh, (take up your cross) it proves that you are against sin and the acts of sin you use to practice before coming to Jesus Christ. (but you will fall short) Romans 3:28
And our advocate (1John 2:1) Jesus Christ – has already paved the way for us and have spoken on our behalf to the Father…John 17th Chapter.
The depth of Repentance, it’s understanding must be allowed to crush the flesh. Think of it this way – your sinful acts unconfessed sin strikes at the heart of God
