Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Imagine a person, let’s say you. You’ve just given your life to Jesus Christ. Now imagine being split down the middle. The life on the right of the split is all new and the life on the left of the split is habitual and routine; unsaved. The life on the left will continue to respond (in your life) based on the years it has controlled, dominated, consumed, and exhausted you. Which side has the most influence? Not so much in choosing right from wrong, but which side is strong enough to lead? The mindset on the left will be the strongest in the beginning and will always (try) to make the first move; it’s only an attempt/move because the Right will mature, have faith and grow and take control; Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
The Word of God is a must Study! It releases the presence of the Lord accompanied with revelation that will change your life. And it abides within you, to lead, guide, inspire and to protect…; the word will come alive and unfold as a revelation, discernment and it will keep you on your toes….
(Phillippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.) The mindset to the right is in anticipation of growth and development, and will stand and become powerful and take authority over the left/flesh and prevail. (Eph. 6:11-Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.)
The Armor of God is Salvation, Prayer, Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Faith, the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God and fasting. All of these things are to make you strong and powerful and to stand in the authority gifted to you; to strengthen your Christain Walk.
Prayer is more than mere words spoken; it’s an utterance that can change a life and pull down strongholds and fortresses that keep us enslaved and constrained to the enemy’s perception and obligated in unhealthy situations. So the left side must be made to surrender to the Spirit of God; so it will not control your life. It will eventually weaken on the left because you have become secure and mature in your Christain Walk. It’s a Fight Life!
Romans 8:36-38, in all these things you are more than a conqueror…
Side Note:
The power of Salvation is the only source that can occupy the heart and the will of a soul. The threshold of Salvation is capable of handling two personalities: the flesh and the spirit.
Trust that God has you on the right side of the split and on the left side of the split; He will abide in you and you will abide in Him and your growth will bless your soul.
