Study Directives 8/25/19
Select a book of the bible to study then study chapter to verse – relax and take your time getting to each verse and chapter..when you feel (a) keen to wait in your spirit (between scripture) it’s because you are sensing the unknown to be made known to you of the Word of God. There’s something you need to know and experience at this point. Your understanding of a revelation is the optimum experience.
KJV John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
NIV John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life.
Read the introduction -background of the writer of the book you are studying It helps to know something about the writer. Knowing the history helps us to also see the progression of the work of the Lord; how he used so many people to bring the Word to us today.
The Holy Spirit will lead and reveal the knowledge the Father would have you to know. You will actually receive insight from your past, present and future at the same time. The Holy Spirit is so powerful in His teaching that you will understand the sequence of the revelation revealed; meaning you will be able to place the insight where it belongs in the past, in the present and in the future.

Study recommendations: Luke, St. John, Acts
Then decide the best time to study to make it easy for yourself.

- or try a couple of times to find what works for you.
- Commit yourself to the time of study you chose. This is important because you are BONDING with the LORD. This is His and your time; you are creating your worship-space forming an atmosphere that you can take anywhere. Also, your teacher will be the Holy Spirit. You will learn so much spiritually for your spirit-filled life. You’ll

- Denying your flesh is strengthened but never perfected, but always maturing
- You will learn what consistency looks like and what it brings to you
- Be prepared for major interruptions/distractions that come in the form of:
- Fear 5. Family
- Sickness 6. Work
- Weariness 7. Busyiness ( I forgot to do)
- Pain 8. Doubt
- You yourself will struggle to study, it’s not going to be easy; and you will always struggle. It just gets a little easier to Fight off the distractions; there will always be interruptions you will have to choose and fight.
- to get familiar/comfortable with the chapter
- read again and pull out words you don’t understanding – define and write the meaning out
- then read for understanding
- Write out each scripture – in King James Version
- Check first and second scripture references for where understanding is needed
- Write the scripture out in (2) translations or until you get it or has many translations needed
- The Word that you defined write the meaning out under the scripture
- Write out your discerning understanding – what it means but your understanding must line up with what the Word is saying…(if it doesn’t keep studying it will come to you)
- Observation – What is the passage about?
- Interpretation – What is it saying to me?
- Application – How does this apply to me today
- Now write what you have learned about the Character of JESUS…
