1John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Praying after Salvation will be a fight and is a fight. But, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Our relationship with Jesus Christ requires communicating – praying to God in Jesus Name. Don’t think praying is mere words and that it’s trivial or easy and to be taken lightly. But to pray takes more than mere words; it takes that inner work that has been changed or is changing in you that we reach for/tap into. The place that we know Christ has visited that secret space that only you know; it takes all of you to pray. We have many layers and barriers to overcome within ourselves to believe in our prayers. We stand in between life and death, hope and doubt, trust and fear in our prayers, struggling to believe and to pray. This is why it’s a Fight.
1 John 5:4 New Living Translation For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Did Revelation 12:11 state that we overcome the enemy by talking about what God has done and is doing in our lives?
Do you think the (enemy) that you have been set free from gives up? You are now his prime target and he brings all the evil he is capable of doing to attack every area of your life, mentally, physically and spiritually. The enemy’s direct focus now is to recapture you or make you think he can and destroy you. But he cannot; you may fall short but you will never belong to him again! Satan wants to make you doubt your Salvation; “salvation isn’t that easy just by confessing that you are a sinner and a whole new life is given you.” (the Word states that Satan is a liar and the Fathers of it) He will capitalize on what you don’t know about your Salvation, your weaknesses and push doubt and fear into your mind.
How do (i) fight this enemy? You don’t! Jesus Christ Birth, His Death, and His Resurrection won the fight.. Your fight is to believe God and obey. Your new life requires you to believe and to trust God’s Word. But, to stay within the boundaries of your Christian walk you must Fight in Prayer, and use the weapons provided; these weapons are not for the enemy they are for you to keep trusting and believing in God. Your weapons are all spiritual with the same connotation that salvation applies to or rather comes out of salvation, prayer, studying, trusting and believing God.
Amp 2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
A stronghold and a fortress are used here as something that keeps you bound, distressed, doubtful, fearful, and shameful. Anything that keeps you from believing the Word of God and what God says about you. Anything! You overcame it!
