What is Evangelizing?

It is the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness.

Evangelizing is teaching (heralding, proclaiming, preaching) the gospel (the message from God that leads us to salvation) with the aim (hope, desire, goal) to persuade (convince, convert).

Evangelizing is teaching the gospel with the aim to persuade others to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Why Evangelize?

We evangelize because it is a commandment of the Lord and because it is an amazing thrill to share what Love has done and is doing for you. This Love is the best that you will ever have and it is the best that you can share - the Love of God.

This is the Love you receive when you realize that you have sinned (fallen short) and you hear the preached that you are forgiven of your sins, that nothing can pluck you out of God’s Hand. (And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. St. John 10:28)

Why Evangelize?

Think about this - when you know you have done wrong but, in spite of yourself, God blesses you in a way that only He can. When you know you broke fellowship with Him (sin will do that) and He then moves mountains, open doors and still gives you the desires of your heart. It makes anyone want to ask “what manner of love is this?”

You have experienced a LOVE that only SALVATION can bring. This love makes you want to please Him and Obey Him . . . which includes spreading the Word about Him.

Although we stubble through life not knowing what is around the corner. We go through trials and tribulations of life, we fail, we hurt others, we hurt ourselves, make bad decisions – BUT GOD! He looks beyond our faults and sees our needs – and meets them all. This is the LOVE that we Evangelize.
